Taylor Leigh Spears, representing the
Enid Stampede Rodeo, was selected
to reign as the 2010 Miss Oklahoma Rodeo Princess on July 25, 2009, at the
National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma
City. Taylor was chosen from a
field of eight outstanding contestants who competed in horsemanship, interviews,
modeling, impromptu questions, and speech during three days of competition.
She will travel throughout Oklahoma representing rodeo.
Taylor is from Cleveland and resides with her family on their farm. She is in the 7th grade at Cleveland Middle School. Taylor is on the Principal's Honor Roll and supports the Tigers as a cheerleader. She is active in her local and Pawnee County 4-H Clubs and participates in playdays and horse shows. Taylor has received numerous showmanship awards at the local and county level and has placed well with her animals at the state level. She plans to attend OSU and get a degree in Health and Fitness or Animal Science. Taylor dreams of one day living on a Quarter Horse Ranch and owning her own Day Spa. Taylor's prizes include: a traveling crown custom made by Bob Berg Buckles; traveling chaps custom made and donated by Leather, etc.; trophy saddle custom made by Cowboy Classic Saddlery; trophy buckle and trophy pendant custom made by Hy O Silver and donated by MROk Alumni; rose bouquet donated by Carriage House Flowers, Sonja Van Hoesen; Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Princess banner; 250 Thank You cards; accommodations and meals during the 2011 Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant.
